Be on time. You will be allowed one unexcused tardy per grading period. 2. Be actively involved in learning at all times. To be actively involved, students need to be in class. While in class, I expect all students to answer questions, ask questions and participate in ALL class activities. Sleeping is prohibited! 3. Do not adjust the air conditioners/heaters at any time. The teacher desk is off limits. 7. Cell phones must be stored out of sight in students’ bags. Any phones in sight will be confiscated and sent to the office with a referral. 8. All MHS and STPSB policies, rules, and regulations shall be observed within the classroom. Welcome to English I! Our focus this school year will be learning and developing our skills as critical thinkers, readers, writers, speakers, and listeners. The development and mastery of these literary skills is not only important to achieving success in the Language Arts classroom, it is a critical component of achieving success in other school subjects, building strong relationships with others, and attaining a flourishing career as an adult. If I have not responded within a few days, please send a second or call the school and leave a message with the office. On rare occasions, s are sent to my junk folder, and therefore, I may have no knowledge of your . Consequences: Where do I go to find agendas and assignments? The Daily Agenda is located on the dry-erase board inside the classroom. The schedule for the day along with important dates will be located on this board. It is the student’s responsibility to read and check this board immediately upon entering the classroom each day. An agenda/planner would be helpful and is recommended for students to record information communicated on this board. MHS planners are available at the Lunch Box. Schoolwires is our class website. The website is updated weekly regarding important information for class such as homework, tests, projects, announcements, and the class calendar. There are times when additional changes will be made during the week so please make it a regular habit to visit in order to stay on top of things. This is your #1 resource when you are absent!!!
