2 What are the five elements of a story?
Theme Plot or story arc Conflict Students already know a lot about creating settings, characters and themes in a story. T should really elicit what they know like: different types of characters in a story\ what the theme is\ how do we create a mood or atmosphere via setting etc. Setting Characters

4 Story Arc: Narrative texts are structured into a five-part story arc.
At the beginning, the reader learns about the setting and characters and the situation they are in. Next, the characters encounter conflicts or obstacles they must overcome. This causes action, suspense, tension and excitement in the story begins to rise. In the middle, the story reaches it’s turning point - the climax. Then, the characters start to solve the problems, overcoming the obstacles. At the end, all conflicts are resolved and the characters’ goals are achieved, coming to a conclusion. 5 Story Arc for Echo and Narcissus
Narcissus continues to break hearts, scorning and refusing the nymphs. The Gods get angry an curse him, so he falls in love with his own reflection. Echo continues to yearn for Narcissus and dies in grief. Story Arc for Echo and Narcissus Narcissus suffers the same way that the nymphs had suffered because his reflection cannot love him back. Echo is cursed by Hera. Then she has an encounter with Narcissus and heartlessly gets refused by him. Ashamed she moves to the mountains.
