No global or inter-regional recommendations/guidelines exist
Regional guidelines/drafts exists but vary in how elaborate they are
The pandemic highlighted the need for standardized epidemiological data
Help for revisions and production of regional and national surveillance guidelines

A basic framework for future revisions/making of guidelines on influenza surveillance
An essential framework adaptable by countries including those with limited resources for influenza surveillance
