1. Pelviperineology in Croatia - the Croatian Society for Pelviperineology

2. Pelviperineology is a multidisciplinary field of the medicine which integrates various medical disciplines.
It does not consider only genitourinary tract, but treats the patients integrally.
In it’s mission and objectives, pelviperineology is a real example of integrative medicine.
In these point of view, the patients are not observed separately, but integrative, reaching to the better treatment results.

3. All of this has motivated us to establish the Croatian Society for Pelviperineology (CSP).
The main reason for establishing the CSP is the comprehensive education of health professionals and whole community.
The mission of the CSP is to promote the integrative approach of pelviperineology in daily clinical practice.

4. The CSP gathers and represents a group of clinicians and the other health personnel sharing a common professional interest in the area of the pelvic floor and associated organ systems, especially in the field of 
-pelvic surgery
-conservative therapy
-prevention and rehabilitation
Pelvic area requires multidisciplinary and integrative approaches to various professional profiles which should collaborate in team work with experts of different specialities.

5. Due to complexity of this unique anatomical region, it is important to include not only specialists from the various disciplines, especially gynecologists, urologists and coloproctologists, but also associate health professionals, e.g. oncologists, neurologists, radiologists, physiotherapists, general practitioners, midwives, nurses, etc.
Our tendency is to raise awareness, improve education and create preconditions for better pelvic health in women and men.
Itis precisely the main interest of our patients and our leading priority.
The CSP was founded just because this purpose.

6. The CSP was founded 2017 in the General Hospital Zabok and Hospital of Croatian Veterans zabok.hr/Default.aspx

7. The hospital is located in Krapina-Zagorje County, 50 kilometers NW from the Croatian capital town Zagreb and well connected with modern highway and railway.
CSP is particularly active in the field of education, clinical research and enlightenment activities among health care and non-health care professionals and in the whole community.

8. With such multidisciplinary and integrative approach, new ideas and approaches are developed for even more successful treatment of our patients.
In this way, the CSP is quite well placed to bring together the opinions, ideas, practices and research of its members.
Furthermore, the website and facebook profile has been designed and developed to facilitate the processing of this potentially respectable knowledge base.
It should be shared and utilized to maximum advantage for the recognizable benefit of our patients as the ultimate recipients.

The CSP has organized the 1st Mediterranean Meeting on Pelvic Surgery and Pelviperineology, Zagreb, Croatia, December 1st-4th, 2017, under the asuspices of:
