What is new student orientation?
Occurs in the summer for students admitted for the fall semester. Occurs in the winter for students admitted for the spring semester. Orients students to: Financial Aid (FAFSA, scholarships, package) Business Office (balance, payment plan options) Academic Policies Student Life & Campus activities Student Code of Conduct Register for classes Connect with other freshwomen Learn next steps

Is new student orientation mandatory?
New Student Orientation is for the following… Recently confirmed and graduated/graduating from high school (new freshwomen) Students holding an undergraduate degree from another institution and pursuing a 2nd undergraduate degree at Bennett College Transfer students who previously attended a two or four year institution (Transfer) 21 years of age or older and pursuing an undergraduate degree as a non-traditional student YES!

Is new student orientation mandatory for parents, families and guests?
It is not mandatory for parents, families and guests, but it is highly encouraged! Family & Guest Orientation includes: Information sessions from key service departments Campus tours “Sister chats” to share experiences while meeting new Belle families Information to assist with answering questions you did not know to ask Upcoming calendar of events Establishing a bond with the Bennett College family

How do I register for new student orientation?
Once you have submitted your enrollment deposit, you will receive an with instructions on how to RSVP for one of the orientation sessions. Visit the New Student Orientation webpage or log-in to your BelleNet account and provide the information requested on the page. Through this portal, you will be able to register, pay non-refundable orientation fee, as well as register and pay for guests (a maximum of two guests only).

Things to remember… New Student Orientation is mandatory for all new freshwomen, transfers, 2nd undergraduate degree seekers, and non-traditional students (refer to slide 4). All new freshwomen, transfers, 2nd undergraduate degree-seekers, and non-traditional students will incur an orientation fee, regardless of attendance. The orientation fee for new students is reflected on the tuition bill for the upcoming semester. The orientation guest fee cannot be placed on the student’s account. The guest fee must be paid upon registration through the online portal. Maximum of 2 guests only. Parents, siblings, friends and extended family members are considered guests and subject to the guest fee.
