The fittest survive, reproduce, and pass on their DNA to their offspring. An organism’s niche is its role in its habitat. Adaptations help an organism specialize so they are not require to be in direct competition with others.

When the hare population increases, so does the lynx population because there is more food. When the lynx population increases, the hare population will decrease because there are more lynx that need food to eat. Lack of food, shelter, water, and disease, etc.

Predator- the organism that does the killing in order to get energy Competition- the struggle between organisms to survive as they attempt to use the same limited resources. Symbiosis- any relationship in which two species live closely together and at lease one organism benefits.
