Figure 1 Initial laparoscopic evaluation of the patient revealed an abnormally dilated appendix with mucin (A) as well as the general appearance of mucinous material covering all peritoneal surfaces (B). At second-look laparoscopy (C, D), white plaque lesions throughout the peritoneal cavity replaced the areas previously covered by gelatinous material. No new masses or additional findings were noted.
