Avg. 4” soil temps rebounded with several days of warm temperatures, sun and limited rain.

4 7 Day precip (through 7 AM Sunday)
Up to an inch across the north and far southeast. Largely very limited precip.

5 30 Day Precip. Total/% Avg. Lowest precip in central/SW IA. A little more northeast. Wettest far NW and SE. Less than 25% avg. in some places.

6 90 Day Precip. Total/% Avg. Still fairly wet longer term (90 days). Central/SW even below avg. at 90 days now.

7 30 Day Temperatures Mostly above average in the state. Cooler areas aligned with wetter locations.

8 US Drought Monitor No drought issues in the region. Longest period ever in the Midwest since the start of the USDM. Now at 7 8 weeks of no coverage in the Midwest.

9 7 Day Forecast Precip. Fairly quiet week after early week. Rainfall convective – should be spottier.

10 8-14 Day Temp and Precip. Warmer period eases in early May.
Slightly increased chance of wetness continues into early May.
