8. 3 When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—the moon and the stars you set in place—

9. 4 what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them?

10. 5 Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor.

1 Come, let us sing to the Lord!   Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.

8 We had heard of the city’s glory, but now we have seen it ourselves—the city of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. It is the city of our God;     he will make it safe forever.

20. Psalm 42
1 As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God.
2 I thirst for God, the living God. When can I go and stand before him?

21. 3 Day and night I have only tears for food, while my enemies continually taunt me, saying,     “Where is this God of yours?”

22. 4 My heart is breaking as I remember how it used to be: I walked among the crowds of worshipers, leading a great procession to the house of God, singing for joy and giving thanks amid the sound of a great celebration!

5 Why am I discouraged?     Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God!     I will praise him again—     my Savior and my God!

1 Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth!

He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
