3 Lockdown Drills Safety experts conduct site drills to determine if changes in procedures are necessary (24 sites this school year) Elementary schools must conduct 4 active shooter drills annually Secondary schools must conduct 2 active shooter drills annually

4 Fire Drills Elementary schools must conduct a fire drill once every calendar month Middle schools must conduct a fire drill once a quarter or as directed by the local Fire Marshall High schools must conduct a fire drill twice every school year

5 Security Activities Provided Active Shooter Trainings at all District sites Performed Physical Security Assessments (PSA) at all District sites Coordinated active shooter scenario with City of Stockton Police and Fire Departments at Bear Creek High Conducted simultaneous training of District Emergency Operation Center (EOC) with key administration Reviewed classroom lock issue based on board discussion

6 Security Activities Conducted special school visit to address security or incident concerns Assisted with security product review with District staff Coordinate safety discussions/activities with local law enforcement agencies Vet safety issues through the District Safety Committee

7 Disaster Kits Placed Disaster/Lockdown Kits in all Classrooms/Administrative Offices Provided Sites with Kit Inventory Informed Sites on Methodology to Replace Used/Missing Kit Materials Kits contain some items (food, water, etc.) with a Five (5) Year Shelf Life. Replacement Materials to be Updated in Developing training protocols for site staff on use of the kits

8 First Aid Training First Aid Training Available at the Keenan Safe Schools Website ed each site the “Emergency First Aid Guidelines for California Schools” by California Emergency Medical Services Authority Researching the Possibility to Offer First Aid Training Annually

9 Facility Security Priorities
Single point of entry All classroom doors locked at all times Intercoms/fire alarm systems Visitor ID System
