Dyma drefn ein gwasanaethau wythnosol. This is our weekly assemblies timetable.
R Time – Mae R Time yn raglen hwyliog I annog sgiliau personol a chymdeithasol. Ei fwriad yw i ddatblygu perthnasau a chyfeillgarwch disgyblion trwy weithgareddau amrywiol gyda phartneriaid amrywiol. Maent yn dysgu sut i barchu pob aelod o’r dosbarth a bod yn hyderus I rannu eu syniadau a chydweithio.
R time is a fun-filled Personal and Social Education programme. The emphasis is upon creating effective, respectful relationships by way of Random Pair work. R time is a programme that enables children to learn the skills of making and sustaining friends and friendships.
SEAL: Eto rydyn ni yn edrych ar wahanol agweddau o sgiliau personol a chymdeithasol trwy straeon. Again we look at different personal and social skills through social stories.

*20 munud ar ddechrau pob gwers mathemateg i ddatblygu rhifyddeg pen / 20 minute session at the start of every maths lesson to develop mental arithmetic
*CLIC yn debyg am bythefnos ond yn mynd yn fwyfwy heriol / CLIC will be similar for a fortnight with the level of challenge developing daily.
* Dydd Gwener bydd profion yn targedu gwahanol gyd-destunau rhif / Every Friday there will be tests targeting various number contexts.
Fel rhan o’n gwers fathemateg ni rydym yn cynnal sesiwn CLIC sy’n parha 20munud. Mae’n targedu rhifyddeg pen y disgyblion ac mae’n cael ei rannu yn bedair rhan. Mae sgiliau’r bedair rhan ync ael eu datblygu gydol yr wythnos ac rydych yn gweld twf yn hyder a dealltwriaeth y disgyblion o’r sgiliau. Rydych eisioes wedi gweld gyda’r gwaith cartref rwy’n danfon adref pa sgiliau rydym wedi bod yn eu gwneud.
A part of our maths lesson is CLIC. It’s a twenty minute starter where we develop the children’s mental arithmetic. The skills are developed throughout the week and by the end you see a great improvement in the children’s confidence and understanding. You will have seen in some of the homework that I’ve sent home the kind of work that we have been doing.
Y bedair rhan / the four parts are
C – Cyfrif / Counting – Yn y fan hyn mae’r disgyblion yn dysgu sut I ddosrannu rhifau, I osod rhifau mewn trefn o’r mwyaf I’r lleiaf, I gyfrif mewn cyfres o rifau, I WNEUD CYSYLLTIADAU â GRADDFA A RHANNAU GRADDFA.
L – Dysgu Ffeithiau / Learn Its: Dyma’r ffeithiau mae angen I’r plant wybod yn gyflym. These are facts the children need to know quickly. We have been looking at number families, if they know that = 50 they also know another 3 facts (27+23 = 50, 50-23=27, 50-27=23)
I – Dim byd Newydd / It’s nothing new: Byddwn yn y fan hyn yn defnyddio ffeithiau mae plant eisioes yn eu gwybod ac yn rhoi nhw mewn sefyllfaoedd eraill e.e. os yw darn o bren yn 50m ac rwy’n torri darn 23m I ffwrdd. Faint sydd ar ol? Mae gen I 1KG o flawd, mae 300g yn cwympo ar y llawr. Faint sydd ar ol?
C – Cyfrifiadau / Calculations – Adio, tynnu, lluosi a rhannu. Adding, subtraction, multiply and divide.
Dw I’n gosod y CLIC ar ddwy lefel ac mae’r plant yn dewis os maen nhw’n ateb y lefel ‘pawb’ neu ‘her’. My Clic is on two levels and the children choose which level they want to work on – Everybody or challenge.
Bob dydd Gwener bydd y disgyblion yn cael ‘cwis’ lle mae ganddyn nhw 100eiliad i ateb gymaint o gwestiynau cyfrifiadau a sy’n bosibl. Y bwriad fan hyn yw I gyflymu yn wythnosol wrth iddyn nhw ymgyfarwyddo gyda’r symiau (maen nhw union yr un symiau am dymor!). Byddan nhw hefyd yn gwneud cwis sydd wedi ei osod ar lefel lle eu bod nhw yn cymhwyso y sgiliau rhif sydd yn codi o fewn CLIC, unwaith iddyn nhw brodi eu hunain ar y lefel a chael marciau llawn dair gwaith yn olynnol maent yn symud ymlaen i’r ‘lefel’ nesaf. Mae’r rhain yn fy nghynorthwyo I wrth gynllunio CLIC – rwy’n gweld pa sgiliau sydd angen eu datblygu ac yn targedu rhain yn y sesiynau sydd i ddilyn.
Every Friday the children will take ‘quizzes’. One is a 100second challenge to answer as many of 72 sums as is possible, the aim is to answer more every week (they are the same sums for a term but in different order). The second quiz is a level based quiz that asks them to answer questions about different parts of the CLIC. Once they’ve achieved full marks three times they move up to the next level. With these quizzes, I can see where the children need support and I use these to plan my following CLICs.

Byddaf yn gwrando ar y plant yn darllen yn wythnosol. Byddan nhw yn gwneud gweithgareddau darllen grwp. Maen nhw I gyd yn ddarllenwyr rhugl felly nawr dw I am ganolbwyntio ar ddatblygu eu sgiliau uwch fedrau – dadansoddi, edrych ar arddull, cymharu testunau, trafod gwahanol gyd-destunau ayyb. Bydd gweddill y disgyblion yn cael cyfleoedd I ddatblygu sgiliau allweddol yn annibynnol.
I will be listening to the children reading weekly through guided group reading. As they are fluent readers so now I’m going to develop their higher order reading skills – analysing texts, discussing author styles, compare texts, discuss different ideas within texts – the texs will be factual and fictional. As I’m reading te others will be developing key skills independently.
Bydd croeso I’r disgyblion I newid eu llyfrau unaith iddyn nhw gwblhau llyfr. Bydd angen iddyn nhw ddarllen amrywiaeth o lyfrau Cymraeg a Saesneg.
The children need to change their books independentlyand ensure that they read a combination of Welsh and English books.
Mae hi’n holl bwysig bod pob plentyn yn darllen adref pob nos / It is important that every child reads at home every night.

Ynni / Energy – Ein thema ar y funud yw ynni lle rydym yn edrych ar ddatblygiad ynni o danwydd ffosil I edrych ar ynni adnewyddadwy. Our theme at the moment is energy where we look at the development of energy from fossil fuel to renewable energy.
Rhyfeddodau’r Byd / What a Wonderful World. Uned daearyddol sydd yn edrych ar ryfeddodau’r byd a nodweddion y gwledydd. Byddwn yn edrych ar ryfeddodau Cymru. This theme is a geographical unit that looks at the wonder of the world. We will be looking on the wonders of Wales.
Cestyll a Dreigiau / Castles and Dragons: Uned Hanes yn edrych ar Oes y Tywysogion. This is a history unit looking at the Medieval Times in Wales.
O dan y Croen / Skin Deep: Uned Gwyddonol sydd yn edrych ar meicro organau a bacteria a’u heffaith ar y corff. Scientific Units looking on micro organisms and bacteria and their effect on the world.
Byddwn hefyd yn gwneud wythnosau thema amrywiol, e.e. Roald Dahl, digwyddiadau cyfoes a themau sydd o ddidordeb i’r disgyblion.
