What type of government did this country have in place during the Great Depression? Was its economy dependent on one crop or was it diversified? Did it have any industry? Who were its main trading partners? What sort of class structure did it have? How hard was it hit by the Great Depression? How did it get out of the Great Depression?

Once your research is complete, compare your findings to what we have studied about Brazil. Are there any general trends that appear to emerge from the information that can be extended to Latin America in general? Is this country different from any other countries in the region of Latin America? Create a thesis statement for a compare/contrast paper.
