Each week choose a task and note in your planner what course you are trying and which task you will complete. There are 8 weeks this term, so 2 x mains, 2x starters and 2 x dessert would do it! Dessert – 1 week Write down the definitions for Catholic, reformation, dissolution and protestant. How did Henry VII make sure his throne was safe? Find out why Henry VIII fell out with Rome. Why did Henry VIII want a son? Why was Mary Queen of Scots nicknamed ‘bloody Mary’? What was the Battle of Bosworth? Starter – 1 week What is meant by the term gangster? Henry VIII had how many children? What were they called? Why did the protestants not like the Catholics? What did the Tudors do for fun? How did the Tudor period begin? Who was Edward ‘the boy king’? Main Course – 2 weeks Write a description of what Britain was like in 1485? Imagine you are Henry VII and just been crowned King of England. Write a letter to one of your friends outlining your concerns as the new king. Write a profile of the young King Henry VIII. Create a poster telling people about what school life was for Tudor children.
