10 VOCABULARY WORD: Video Standard
A video standard defines the following characteristics of a video signal: The resolution, frame rate, and if the signal is interlaced or progressive.

11 Resolution :Vertical & Horizontal pixel count

12 Frame Rate :The number of individual frames or images that are displayed per second.  24 fps – Film Projectors fps – Film to video 25 fps – PAL HD video 29.97 fps – NTSC HD video 30 fps – HD Video (less common) 50 fps – PAL HD video 59.94 – NTSC HD video (Interlaced field rate of NTSC video) 60 fps – HD Video

In live production, most devices will be Progressive.

Graphics formats come from computer display outputs and are not always compatible with video standards and video devices.
