Read Fox News article “Why I Believe the American Dream is Still Alive” by David Sokol (6/23/14) and The Daily Beast article “The American Dream is Dead and Good Riddance” by Keli Goff. Cite three pieces of textual evidence (one-two sentences each) in each article to support why the American Dream is alive or dead. Interpret each quote in your own words. Sentence starters include the following: : This evidence proves that..., Readers may infer that..., or The evidence can be analyzed to mean that...
