Write down two questions you have for your manager

Sit back to back You are you, and your colleague is role-playing your boss’s assistant - You phone your boss’s assistant - You give him/her the message (the two questions for your boss)
Switch roles Now you are the assistant, and you will take a message for the boss
*At the end of these two telephone conversations, you should both have questions to give to the boss.
*Don’t answer the questions yourself, you will call the boss later and ask him/her
This is an activity where you are calling your boss’s assistant and giving him/her a message for your boss.
The assistant then calls the boss and asks the questions, and writes down the answers. The assistant then calls you back and gives you the answers.
*This activity can be complicated, but it’s great for getting in a lot of telephone practice in a short space of time* 1 2 3
