C. Yet a third approach would be to discuss this matter with the IS dept and ask someone there to respond to your employee. Explain advantages and disadvantages of this approach. ADVANTAGES: The employee is getting direct information from the person they are proposing to. The employee will know what the IS dept is looking for DISADVANTAGES: The IS dept may not make it simplistic enough for the employee to understand where as the manager may be able to explain it better.

D. Of the three approaches identified, which do you, as a team, prefer? If you can come to agreement on a single answer, explain your thought process. If, as a team, you cannot agree on a single answer, explain each answer and its rationale. As a team we believe that the best approach to this situation would be to have the IS department speak directly with both us and the employee this way we are both able to understand what the IS department needs and our proposal can be direct and proper.

E. Suppose your employee develops a proposal for a different scheme and IS department rejects that proposal. What do you do if you agree more with your employee than with the IS department. If my employee does get rejected and I like the proposal of my employee, I would definitely give my best getting the proposal approved by writing back to IS department and let them know how much time and money we save with the proposal of my employee.

F. As a mid-level manager, you may be placed into a position where you are enforcing policy from higher management with which you disagree. How will you respond in that circumstance? Supplier Relationship Management I would respond by saying that the strategy or policy won’t achieve the intended result, or worse, that it will put the company at risk.
