6. What is Zoroastrianism?
A religion (like Judaism, Christianity, and Islam)
Founded by Zarathustra ( a prophet)

7. What are the beliefs of Zoroastrianism?
They believe in one god, Ahura Mazda, or “Wise Lord” who created all things.
“The Earth is a battleground, a struggle between forces of light and forces of darkness”, said Zarathustra.
At death people will be judged by how well they fought in the battle on Earth against evil.
Their holy teachings (lessons) are in a book called the Zend-Avesta.

8. What happened to Zoroastrianism?
The Muslims conquered Persia in the mid 600s A.D.
They began losing followers as the Persian Empire declined.
Today some believers still exist in Iran and India, however, in total they only number about 190,000, about the same population size as Tainan, Taiwan (wikipedia.org).
