1 OPPRTUNITIES FOR FUNDING OF PROJECTS UNDER THE
МИНИСТЕРСТВО НА ОКОЛНАТА СРЕДА И ВОДИТЕ OPPRTUNITIES FOR FUNDING OF PROJECTS UNDER THE COMMUNITY-LED LOCAL DEVELOPMENT BY THE OPERATIONAL PROGRAMME ENVIRONMENT

2 Enhancing the communities’ capacity;
WHY CLLD: Considering the Natura 2000 network as an opportunity, not as a limitation; Conserving biodiversity by the local communities - those who have the knowledge; Creating employment; Enhancing the communities’ capacity;

3 Funding for CLLD under priority axis 3 Natura 2000 and biodiversity: BGN Total amount of the grant: 100% of the total eligible costs Maximum amount of the grant for a conservation activity : Up to 60 Euro/hectare (the amount can be higher when motivation is provided) Eligible beneficiaries: Legal non-profit entities (incl. LAGs) and municipalities

4 PRIORITY AXIS 3 NATURA 2000 AND BIODIVERISTY Objective: Improving the conservation status of species and habitats within Natura 2000 network Eligible measures: Measures for improvement of Natura 2000 species conservation status reported in unfavourable-inadequate conservation status (measures from the National Prioritized Acton Framework for Natura NPAF)

5 NATURA 2000 AND BIODIVERISTY
PRIORITY AXIS 3 NATURA 2000 AND BIODIVERISTY Implementation of measures from the National Plan for Wetlands Protection in Bulgaria (М 22 from NPAF), e.g.: Restriction of anthropogenic pollution in the wetlands ; Measures in line with the Wetlands management plans (e.g. reed mowing); Informational and educational measures (not as a main project activity) The National Plan for Wetlands Protection in Bulgaria (in bulgarian) /plan pdf

7 PRIORITY AXIS 3 NATURA 2000 AND BIODIVERISTY
Construction and maintenance of infrastructure for restoration of species and natural habitats (М 98 from NPAF), e.g.: Infrastructure for water balance maintenance (drainage/flooding channels); Artificial facilities (platforms, nests, wild species racks); Fish-ladders and passages; Facilities for physical fragmentation of species/species habitats (incl. green infrastructure) Ideas can be found in the protected areas and Natura 2000 management plans, River basin management plans, Species action pans. 9 PRIORITY AXIS 3 NATURA 2000 AND BIODIVERISTY
Investments in conservation activities for maintenance/improvement of the conservation status of species and natural habitats (М 109 from NPAF), e.g.: Protection of plant species (seeds gathering, production of planting material, planting, removal of invasive alien species); Protection of animal species (catching, breeding and reintroduction, feeding, building of nests); Protection of species habitats (mowing, removal of unwanted plant species, temporary fencing)

11 PRIORITY AXIS 3 NATURA 2000 AND BIODIVERISTY
Organisation and holding of innovative environmental events (М 15 from NPAF), e.g.: Organisation and holding of attractive types of events at local and/or national level such as parades, festivals, natural science competitions, creative, cultural and artistic practices, etc. The objective is a wide public support and increasing the interest in Natura 2000 to be ensured.
