2 “He trusted in the LORD, the God of Israel; so that after him there was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor among those who were before him.” 2 Kings 18:5

3 Trust in the Lord does not remove all hardships and temptations.
2 Kings 18:13-17 2 Chronicles 32:23-26

4 What does it mean to trust?
A firm belief or confidence in the honesty, integrity, reliability and justice of another person Trust is not a passive acceptance, but rather, it is an active reliance. A letting go so as to place yourself in the care of another Baptism is a trust issue.

5 What does it mean to trust?
Trust relies on one who is reliable and then follows through. Matthew 6:33; 2 Corinthians 9:8 Trust builds bridges between persons.

6 Hezekiah is a living example of Proverbs 3:5-6.
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all of your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Trust in the Lord takes precedence above oneself. “…do not lean on your own understanding” (3:5) “…do not be wise in your own eyes” (3:7)

7 Hezekiah is a living example of Proverbs 3:5-6.
Hezekiah understood and acknowledged who Jehovah was and is (2 Kings 19:15). God alone Maker of heaven and earth Enthroned above God of all kingdoms on earth He had full confidence in God even when enemies attempted to undermine (2 Kings 18:19-22, 29-30).

8 Hezekiah is a living example of Proverbs 3:5-6.
Hezekiah trusted in God to be gracious toward the penitent (2 Chronicles 29:3, 9-11; 30:7-9). God has not changed. He still longs for men to repent (2 Peter 3:9).
