This is the processes, practices and technologies that are designed to protect networks, computers, programs and data/information from attack, damage or unauthorised access.

To protect information and data

Maintain the integrity of information and data
Protect information/data from unauthorised modification
Maintain the availability of information and data
Protect information/data from unauthorised destruction
