PSOs are beginning to expand legacy IPR policies and/or guidelines to also cover embedded copyright-protected items like source code and trademark usage in standards Copyright ownership in standards as documents Now seeing more express licensing or transfer of copyright in connection with contributions GSC: Standardization Advancing Global Communications

ITU, ISO, and IEC Patent, Trademark, and Copyright Policies update
Attempts to streamline and harmonize the implementation of policies among ISO, IEC, ITU Combined ITU-T and ITU-R database on IPR Declarations will be implemented Caution that non-legal Secretariat staff can make what they think are “simple” language changes on forms that can have profound legal consequences GSC: Standardization Advancing Global Communications
