2 what are gerbils? Gerbils have backbones and have hair on there body's that makes them mammals. They have a group of the mammals called rodents. There teeth are sharp and there body's are small.

3 what do gerbils eat? Gerbils eat paged food to keep them well.

4 getting ready to take a gerbil home.
Well if you take a gerbil home you will need a small carrying cage so you can get him or her home safe. When you get there you get him in safe and go to the vet. When you get home from the vet get him in a bigger cage to put the gerbil in. then get some water that he or she can drink out of. Then get bedding such as aspen straw. Then give him salt so he gets his diet.

5 what gerbils can not eat
No fruit like oranges. No dairy foods or candy's.

6 Gerbils grooming Gerbils are clean animals. Most of there time they do a lot of grooming and cleaning there self's. when they start to take a bath you have to get something to hold the water with. Then, you put sand in a different bowl. Next, You let them roll around in the sand that will help get the dirt off them.

7 caring for Gerbils be nice and calm with your gerbils. Don’t pick it up by his or her tale it can snap right off of his or her bottom.
