Results of individual summary odds ratio estimates with 95% confidence intervals for (A) IL-1β −511T>C, (B) IL-1β +3953C>T and (C) IL-1RN 86-bp variable number tandem repeat. Data were analysed by combining individual homozygous and heterozygous for the variant allele of each marker for cases and controls. Odds ratios and confidence intervals were calculated and synthesized by a random-effects meta-analysis using MetaAnalyst software. The size of the square is proportional to the percentage weight of each study; horizontal lines represent the 95% CI and diamonds represent overall values.
