Literacy
Our book of the week will be “Underwater” again and the sight words are “you & no”. Please have your child practice reading their sight words at home.
We will continue to learn about Hawaii. This week the students will learn about volcanoes and the state’s fruit: the pineapple. On Friday, we will have a Luau and learn the hula!
In Reading Workshop, students will continue in the nonfiction unit. They will practice identifying the topic and 3 main details of a nonfiction text.
In Writing Workshop, students will be writing about Spring and what they have learned about Hawaii!

This week we will continue Module 9. Students will continue to identify numbers one more or one less. They will compare numbers 0-20 using a number track. Students will also be solving number puzzles where they are given clues about a number and they have to use their math brains to figure out what the mystery number could be.
