Constitution Changes President – One year Term
New position: Vice President of Instruction New Proposed Section: Vice President Section 8. The Vice President shall assume the following primary responsibilities: 8.1 Collaborate with the Executive Director and the President-elect to plan the fall and spring conferences; including pre-conference workshops and institutes. 8.2 Meeting regularly with the Board Treasurer to establish, monitor, and review the conference budgets and establish sponsorships for the fall and spring conferences.

AB 1340 (Chiu): Gainful Employment (for profit). Monitors outcomes of students that attend for profit and allow earlier intervention AB 1343 (Eggman): 85% - 15% or 50% on Instruction AB 1344 (Bauer-Kahan): Requires private online providers comply with California quality and protection standards AB 1346 (Medina): Expands definition of economic loss to include all amounts paid by a student to the institution AB 1504 (Medina): Requires CCC to collect (if a SBA has been established) a $2 fee at the time of registration per semester/quarter. $1 would be expended to establish and support the operation of a statewide community college organization for all student feeds collected. Students may opt out (per existing law) SB 777 (S. Rubio): 75/25 (workgroup discussion) AB 1364 (B. Rubio): Clinical sites for nursing. Poses safety risk to patients and risk to existing clinical placement slots.
