He was a priest attending the temple - he was attending to the burning of the incense He was doing this before the Lord in the temple he was greatly respected They were righteous - blameless - and followed all the commandments of the Lord Elizabeth- the wife of the priest Zechariah she was Barron and was up their in age The angel the angel Gabriel the messenger of the Lord he came directly to speak the word of the Lord there was no reason to doubt Elizabeth

The mind is a strong weapon
The seed/the mind Zechariah allowed all that got him to this place be overcome by the seed of doubt in his mind

So today we look at the seed that begins the process of the birth of the first Christmas. The Christmas that brought the savior to the world. Sed posuere consectetur lobortis.

The enemy of the world wanted the first Christmas to be stopped through the seed of of doubt
The enemy wanted to place such doubt in the mind of one the most devout priest in the world at the time. So he started with the mind Though the angel silenced it

Doubt “a feeling of uncertainty or lack of conviction”
“The SEED” of doubt Doubt “a feeling of uncertainty or lack of conviction” This is what entered into the mind of Zechariah This is what often enters the mind of us as Gods people

The response “How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is advanced in years” This is what entered into the mind of Zechariah This is what often enters the mind of us as Gods people

Doubt does 3 things It puts a stop to God’s movement It draws the person away from His presence It questions God’s abilities

Gabriel “i stand in the presence of God and was sent here”
Gabriel - he brought a message from God meaning he stood in the presence of god and Sent to bring YOU a message A message of GOOD news Doubt equaled SILENCE

Mute God would not allow doubt to press in on this first Christmas
God does not want doubt to creep into this Christmas

1. God desires to fulfill His Good will in our lives
2. God desires us to be a people void of doubt 3. God will work in the midst of us
