2. When?
Bridge to Terabithia was filmed between February 2006 and November 2006 with a release date of February 2007.
Where?
Bridge to Terabithia is set in the 1970’s in rural Virginia and for a short while, in Washington DC.

3. Quest
Bridge to Terabithia is a film which follows the typical coming of age story arc, cataloging the adventures of Leslie and Jesse, two imaginative and creative characters who created the land of Terrabithia to escape problems at school. Jesse, a 12 year old aspiring artist, lives with his parents (who are struggling financially) whereas Leslie lives with her parents (both writers, one political and on non-political).
The main quest in BTT is the quest for acceptance and friendship which is Leslie and Jesse’s blossoming friendship which is cut short when Leslie tragically passes away after swinging into ravine where the rope snapped and she hit her head.
Another quest in the film is the quest for acceptance of death. In the beginning, Jesse didn’t want to accept that Leslie had died, running away from the issue. In the end, he had to accept that she had died when he went to the wake.

4. Conflict
The main conflict of BTT was the conflict of Jesse and Leslie versus Janice, the schools main bully. The conflict started mainly due to Janice trying to make people pay and fee to use the batgroom and just her attitude throughout the film.
A secondary minor conflict present throughout the film is Jessse’s conflict with his family with it happening mainly with his father due to his father spending more time with his sister than him.
A third internal mental conflict happens with jesse after Leslies death due to him essentually blaming himself for her death. The blame he places on himself is due to the fact he didn’t invite her to the art museum which also happens to be the day of leslies accident.

6. Soundtrack
The soundtrack of BTT was normal non-scored music punctuated with some Tolkienesque epic scored fantasy musi to show the differences between the normal world and the world of terabithia.
The main theme for Terabithia was written specifically for the movie.

7. first LOVE
A majority of of films in the coming of age genre somewhat include first love as a plot point. In Bridge to Terabithia, there seems to be a blossoming possibly romantic relationship between Leslie and Jesse which is cut short by Leslie’s tragic death.
Another slightly romantic side of the story is Jesse’s crush on his music teacher, Ms Edmunds, which consequently meant that Jesse couldn't be there for Leslie when she needed it most.

Although the film in itself is quite sad, the ending ends on quite the happy note with Jesse welcoming May Belle as the new princess, of the new and improved Terabithia. He allowed May belle into Terabithia, which he had never allowed before, because he believed that is what Leslie would have wanted.
The actual ending was the inhabitiants and creatures of terabithia welcome the new princess and king to terabithia.
