1 ONLINE ENERGY MANAGER ECORE-CI® Energy Savings for Commercial and Industrial Facilities

2 Presentation Outline Company Overview ECORE-CI Platform
Application to Commercial & Industrial Facilities ECORE Architecture Reference Projects Business Models Contacts

3 The Company Established in 2007 to respond to the need for efficient energy management and energy cost reduction in commercial buildings and industrial processes Provides innovative solutions using proprietary technology that: Substantially increases energy efficiency Reduces energy costs Leads to improved user economics Contributes to mitigation of global climate impacts

4 The ECORE - C&I Platform
Efficient Cooling & REfrigeration Platform for Commercial & Industrial Facilities Based on OEM’s Patented Technology

5 Key Features of ECORE-C&I Platform
Proprietary Technology optimizes cooling system efficiency Cost Reduction 20 -35% of chiller system energy use LOW PAYBACK Less than 3 years Performance Guarantee OEM provides guarantee NON-INTRUSIVE implementation No disruption in operations Remote monitoring + Reporting and Troubleshooting FLEXIBLE INTERFACE With any BMS or HMI system (Human Machine Interface) AUTOMATED RESPONSE Alarms and Corrective actions

6 Example of REMOTE MONITORING
Displays system configuration Shows operating conditions of all equipment Summarizes performance characteristics Provides alarms of operations outside tolerance levels Allows identification of operating issues Facilitates troubleshooting and repairs

7 Testimonials

8 Testimonials ITC Hotels (Starwood Group) - General Manager, Sustainability “ITC Hotels are the first LEED Platinum certified hotel chain in the world …we have installed OEM’s patented systems in 7 of our luxury hotels and in our HQ building….The systems have helped us to considerably improve our central A/C plant efficiency….” EESL, India’s Super ESCO – Chief General Manager (Technical) “EESL has conducted a technical evaluation and site assessment of OEM’s system through an independent expert*…..EESL believes there is reasonable potential to save energy consumed by central plant HVAC systems through optimized controls….” *The independent expert is a scientist with the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab.

9 Testimonials (Continued)
Frost and Sullivan – Practice Leader, Technology Innovation Group “Patent landscape analysis was conducted ….…..... search results were reviewed by our subject matter experts to identify and review relevant documents …..” “Detailed review of these documents showed that no direct technological overlap was present with OEM’s patent and hence OEM has a unique solution in the market”

10 Application to Commercial and Industrial Facilities

11 Facility Characteristics
Ideal Facilities for ECORE Application Large cooling loads Cooling costs about 30%+ of total costs Current Energy Efficiency (EE) measures provide small savings and long paybacks Does not compromise existing facility or equipment operation ECORE provides % cost savings with paybacks less than 3 years

12 ATTRACTIVE FACILITIES FOR ECORE
Hotels Hospitals Shopping Malls Cold Storage Warehouses Food Processing Chemical Industry

13 ECORE-CI OPERATING PRINCIPALS AND Architecture

14 Key ECORE Operating principles
Dynamically adjusts the chiller system operational parameters to meet the constantly changing cooling loads (user requirements) and the ambient conditions (temperature and relative humidity) Reduces the condenser water entry temperature (CWET) to the lowest level permissible under ambient conditions, thereby reducing the outlet pressure of the compressor, which substantially reduces compressor energy consumption Balances the chiller load across multiple chillers to achieve the chiller manufacturer’s published optimum kW/Ton per the defined CWET

15 ECORE System Architecture – Beach Club

16 ECORE SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE – DISTRICT COOLING PLANT

17 Reference Projects

18 Operating Project Installations
John’s Island Club, Vero Beach, Florida Nine 5-Star hotels of the Starwood Group Most energy efficient hotel chain worldwide All hotels were already LEED Platinum certified prior to ECORE installation Two other 5-star hotels Two dairies Office building Large district cooling plant (25,000 ton cooling capacity)

19 CASE STUDY: John’s Island Club
Beach Club in Vero Beach, Florida Integrated with Johnson Controls’ METASYS BMS ECORE installation saved over 40% of cooling energy Implemented on the SaaS model “In the recent measurement and verification (M&V) conducted during May 2018 ….. the results showed that the ECORE system saved an average of 1,065 kWh per day (41.6%) “ Rex Wilson Director, Facilities, John’s Island Club Daily Average kWh Daily Average kWh SAVINGS with Algorithm

20 DISTRICT COOLING Plant
LOCATION Middle East CONFIGURATION 10 chillers & 23 energy transfer stations FACILITIES SERVED Data Center, process cooling and comfort cooling COOLING CAPACITY 25,000 tons ENERGY PRICE 4.0 cents/kWh FACILITY ENERGY COST US$ 3.2 million ANNUAL SAVINGS 15 million kWh (~US$ 600,000)

21 Zamil - DCP Plant kW/TR with and without ECORE

22 One of the first ECORE efficiency projects
STARWOOD - HOTEL Installations One of the first ECORE efficiency projects (ITC Maurya Hotel, New Deli)

23 CASE STUDY: LEED Platinum Hotel
Flagship hotel of the ITC chain Was one of the most energy-efficient hotels in the world ECORE installation saved about 30% of cooling energy Payback ~ 2 years

24 Savings vs. Temperature

25 CASE STUDY - Luxury Hotel
392 guest rooms Cooling capacity – tons Annual use million kWh Savings – million kWh Savings >30% Payback ~ 2 years
