2 ALL HAVE SINNED

3 How does the Bible define sin?
“Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness” (1 John 3:4, 8). “All unrighteousness is sin…” (1 John 5:17). If there is no law, there is no transgression of law (Roman 5:13). Cain’s murder of Abel was a choice to act against God’s law (Genesis 4:6-7).

4 Can the guilt of sin be transmitted from parent to child by procreation?
Ezekiel stated that a son does NOT bear the guilt of his father’s sins (Ezekiel 18:14-17, 20). None being righteous is not a description of newborns but persons who turn aside from God (Romans 3:9-18).

5 Each person is accountable for what he does.
“… The soul who sins will die Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, each according to his conduct,” declares the LORD God. “Repent and turn away from all your transgressions, so that iniquity may not become a stumbling block to you.” (Ezekiel 18:4, 30)

6 Each person is accountable for what he does.
“Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, Of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” (Galatians 5:21)

7 Each person is accountable for what he does.
“Therefore we also have our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” (2 Corinthians 5:9,10)
