Position Requirements/ Process
Reside or work within the boundaries of East Gwillimbury Grade 12 education or equivalent Valid CPR/First Aid Certificate Capable of handling intense and sustained physical effort Required testing (OFAI) Pass health/fitness assessment no later than six (6) months prior to hire date Medical clearance meeting the prescribed hearing and visual requirements Able to pass a Vulnerable Sector Security Check Possess high standards of work ethics, professionalism, team orientation, and well-developed interpersonal skills HR- Erin 100

What to Expect Attendance Training Chain of Command Public Education Remuneration Character Traits / Values Fitness Deputy Jagoe Attendance: Your attendance at training and Emergency response needs to be maintained in order to firefighter skills , knowledge and experience Emergency / non emergency education community and prevention adequately staffed Chain of Command Discuss para-military origin –flow of communications Structure in a ranking Benefit ensures proper communications You will be assigned a crew once the training is completed Public Education Not all about responding to call Important component of the positon is educating and attending public events Remuneration: Process of being paid – you will be advised in your training You do get paid for attending training and calls however there is an expectation to Volunteer your time to the community Character Traits / Values As the a firefighter Commitment, honesty, integrity and team work Fitness Being physically, and mentally fit to perform the required duties Need maintain these requirements – Stn 28 – gym 100
