1. Airport Procedures 101

2. #1 Arrive to the airport Many people take a taxi or get a friend to drop them off to avoid having to pay to park at the airport.

3. #2 Check in Locate the airline company that you booked your flight through. Enter your personal information and it will print you a ticket.

4. #3 Check your bags Do you have luggage that is too big for the plane? If so, you must check your bag(s). (Some airlines offer this for free, and some charge a fee for checked bags.) Most airlines charge additional fees for : bags that weigh more than 50 lbs. more than 1 checked bag **If you do not need to check any bags, you would skip this step

5. #4 Airport Security Here, the guards will check you and your carry-on bags.

6. #5 Check the status of your flight at the Arrival-Departure Board

7. #6 Find your gate/waiting room

8. #7 After waiting, you will be called to board your flight

9. #8 Find your seat

10. #9 Take off

11. #10 Fill-out your card for customs * For international flights, you will fill-out an information card for customs just before landing.

12. #11 Landing

13. #12 Go through Customs (if it was an international flight)

14. #13 Arrive in the new airport and report to baggage claim to pick-up your checked bag(s)
