Tuition fees: directly paid to the Swedish university by SI Living expenses of SEK 9,000/month Travel grant of SEK 15,000 Insurance against illness and accident

3 Minor Field Studies (MFS)
Funds for Swedish students to conduct field studies to gather data for a graduation project/thesis. Travel grant of SEK funded by SIDA Possible to include all countries on OECD/DAC-list Open to Swedish citizens, people with permanent residency in Sweden or Nordic citizens who have resided in Sweden for the past 12 months Minimum 8 weeks in the field Application deadline up to sending university programmes/minor-field-studies-mfs/

4 Linnaeus-Palme Programme
Collaboration department to department with universities outside EU (OECD/DAC) Open for applications in all thematic fields Planning visits, exchange of students, lecturers & staff Possible to get funding 8 years in a row Deadline April (recurring annual call and coordinated by Swedish universities)

5 SAMRC/Forte Scientific Collaboration
Jointly funded by SAMRC and Forte Supports research projects in the areas of Inequality of Health Health systems and Health systems policies Mental health 2-3 year projects New call for applications in preparation (date tba)

6 STINT Initiation grants
Initiation of short-term research projects with researchers outside of EU Building of new and strategically interesting international relationship Simple application (5 pages+CV+list of activities) Max SEK Calls open 4 times annually

7 Joint South Africa-Sweden Research Collaboration
Jointly funded by STINT, Swedish Research Council, Formas, Forte and NRF Supports projects of high scientific quality which are clearly contributing to the activities of participating institutions Max 3 year-long projects (total budget max SEK – SEK /year) Application will close in September (date tbc) research-collaboration/

8 STINT Grants for Double Degree Programmes
Develop double, multiple or joint degree programmes Bachelor, master or PhD-programmes 3 years – SEK in funding Main applicant should be Swedish University Next call will be published in November 2019 programmes/

9 SASUF – Collaboration projects
Seed funding for researchers to facilitate collaboration SEK/ ZAR Co-funded by Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) Main aim is to initiate or further develop collaboration between Sweden and South Africa Deadline to apply: September Project duration up to August 2020 All info will be posted on
