6. Sand Blast Couplings
When securing a Sand Blast Fitting to a hose, why is it not a good idea to substitute longer screws for the ones provided with the OEM fitting?
If the longer screws penetrate through the tube of the hose, the abrasive sand inside the hose will erode the screws, and the fitting will fly off the hose under pressure.
