1 Youth Group takes Rome 2020 July 19th-29th 2020

2 Catholic Heart Workcamp
A group dedicated to service, connection, and loving others Provide amazing Catholic mission trips for youth groups Provide each work camp with summer staff, director, manager, musician, nurse and priests Requires a 5:1 minimum ratio for teens to adults We need at least one male and one female adult chaperone International camps open to rising sophomores and above More information on Catholic Heart Workcamp can be found at

3 ROUGH SCHEDULE Day 1 – Departure from the States Day 2 – Arrive at Rome Fiumicino International Airport, Private bus Transport to Hotel, Say Hello to St. Peter’s Basilica, Visit the Pantheon, San Luigi dei Francesi, Sant’Agostino, Piazza Navona. Day 3 – High Mass at St. Peter’s, Sunday Angelus with Pope Francis, Relax near the Trevi Fountain, Santa Maria Sopra Minerva, Sant’Ig- nazio. Day 4 – Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel, Mass at St. Paul Outside the Walls, Circus Maximus, Aventine Hill, Evening in St. Peter’s for some P + W. Day 5 – Private Mass at St. Peter’s, Dome of St. Peter’s, Scavi Tour, Colosseum, Roman Forum St. Mary Major. Day 6 – Papal Audience in St. Peter’s Square, Mass at St. John Lateran, Holy Stairs, Santa Croce in Gerusalemme, Santa Maria del Popolo. Day 7 – Depart for Assisi, Visit Church of Saint Mary of the Angels, Church of San Francesco & Tomb of St. Francis, Mass at San Damiano, Free time in Assisi Day 8 – St. Clare, Taxi to St. Francis’ Hermitage, Dinner in Assisi. Day 9 – Depart for Rome, Stop in Orvieto to see Eucharistic Miracle, Divide & Conquer Rome (Free time to visit a new place or see an old favorite) Ciao to St. Peter’s. Day 10 – Depart for Airport, Ciao Roma!

4 Service Component In addition to the trip being a pilgrimage dedicated to strengthening faith, there are about two evenings devoted to service Most likely consist of serving the homeless of Rome

5 Costs There is a nonrefundable deposit of $295 due ASAP to hold your spot There are currently 23 spots open and may fill at any time Once we have 7 deposits we will be attending as a group We will accept deposits until April 7th us if you plan to go and please mail your waiver with your check written to St. Anthony’s We will take up to 15 teens with us First payment of $1500 due September 1st 2019 Last payment of $1500 due January 15th 2020 Total cost: $3295

7 Financial assistance Scholarships Fundraising
Scholarships will be given based on activity in the youth group and financial need Meetings Service Parish/family events Financial need only requires a letter stating the need for the scholarship We will provide 2 $3000 scholarships, 1 $2000 scholarship, and 2 $1000 scholarships Depending on the number of applicants the scholarship amounts may change or we may do interviews Fundraising The events you participate in go towards your trip All participants for a given fundraiser will split the funds from that fundraiser Open to two fundraising before the first payment and two before the second payment You are welcome to individually fundraise by asking family members for donations, setting up a GoFundMe page, selling candy, etc.
