RESPECT This term our school wide value is respect. Respect is willingness to treat with courtesy, to hold in high regard; to honour; to care about others; to have reference or regard to.

What is respect? -Treating other people the way you want to be treated. -An attitude of caring about other people and their rights. -Following the rules of your family, school and country. -Treating the property and environment with care. Speaking courteously to everyone, even if there is a conflict. -Listening to another person’s opinion, even if you don’t agree. Then stating your opinion to honour your right to modesty, privacy and safety.

How do you practice respect?
Think how you want to be treated, then treat others that way. Ask yourself, “How do I want others to treat my belongings or my right to privacy? How do I want others to talk and listen to me? How do I want others to treat me when we need to resolve conflicts?”
