2. Girls on the run mission
WE INSPIRE GIRLS
to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.
Girls on the Run® is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a world where every girl knows
and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.

3. Gotr key Program features
Girls on the Run teaches life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games.
Spring and Fall Sessions; 10 weeks long
8 to 20 Girls; Meet twice a week after school with Coaches
Complete ~20 Interactive Curriculums
Culminates in a 5K with Running Buddy Volunteers
Provides a sense of achievement
Framework for setting and achieving life goals
3rd - 5th Grade Girls
6th - 8th Grade Girls
Learn about Self-Awareness
Explore new ideas
Valuing relationships and teamwork
Cultivate empathy and strengthen connections.

Establish a BOD Marketing Subcommittee focused on St. Mary’s County

Connect with Key Schools leaders/influencers
Describe the benefits of the program and resources requirements
Use existing marketing materials
Offer 8 Girls (min. required) a Scholarship to participate
Word of Mouth – Engage LSM Participants and Gain Support for GOTR So. MD
