2 Week 2 - Monday 25th March Revision task 1
On the next slide, put correct name with the correct definition. Do not look at the answers until you have answered all. The following slide has the correct answers to check. Revision task 2 On slide 5, spend 10 minutes trying to memorise the fixings

3 Malleability Ductility Conductivity Resistivity Hardness Toughness
The ease which a material can be cut (machined) permitting the removal of the material with a satisfactory finish at low cost the ability to return to it’s original shape after being reshaped The ability to withstand impact without fracturing The ability to withstand scratches and indentation Malleability Ductility Conductivity Resistivity Hardness Toughness Machinability Corrosion resistance Elasticity Plasticity the ability to be easily shaped or moulded the ability to bend or shape a material using compressive force the ability to resist the flow of an electric current (or heat) The ability to withstand damage caused by oxidisation or other chemical reactions the ability to conduct (transfer) of an electric current (or heat) the ability of a material to stretch thin when tensile stress is applied
