5 I’m grateful that God doesn’t operate on the same basis.
God is always faithful, always good, always loving and always full of grace. Read Psalm 145

6 Psalm 145:4 One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts (NIV) Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power (NLT) Generation after generation stands in awe of your work; each one tells stories of your mighty acts (The Message) One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts (NASB) Highlight 145:4 Read different versions Introduce theme- activate all generations! Focus on words, “praise & declare” Our words and actions must align and reveal the greatness of God. Personal examples: He made a way while I was incapable of finding a way (Salvation)…I can trust Him with my life. He overcame the power of death and sin… I don’t need to live in fear He has given me a new identity…I don’t have to say the same person that I wish I wasn’t. He has given me H.S, I’m no longer a slave to my flesh and sin…I can change and become more like Jesus. He healed me from transverse myelitis & He healed my mum of Ovarian Cancer…There is nothing impossible for God. Blessed us with the gift of Olivia…He is a good God and brings life where there is not. Transformed family dynamic over Christmas period…God can transform hearts in the most unlikely of situations. It starts here but it doesn't not stop here. It overflows into our families, into our neighborhoods, into our workplaces, into our schools, into our hospitals, into our prisons… Transition: Why “one generation to another”?

7 Different Types of Races
100m Sprint 4 x 100m Relay Relay Analogy We’re running a relay not a sprint. The Kingdom is bigger than our lives. The race is bigger than our leg. Read Psalm 145:11-13. Corporate responsibility (Us) How we run our leg of the race affects the next runner. We want to see a generation emerge that passionately love Jesus and are willing to follow Him no matter how great the cost. Individual responsibility (Me & You) Starts with me and you. Am I living my life for Kingdom purposes or selfish purposes? Am I using my gifting for Kingdom purposes? Do I spend more time praising His works or bemoaning works of the enemy? If you’re not in a verse 4 place. Then listen to verses 14-19 The breakthrough comes in verse 5 (Meditate on who you are and what you’ve done) An encounter with God.

8 The Exchange Zone The exchange zone is where the race is won or lost.
While in the exchange zone… Both the runner and receiver share the lane Both the runner and receiver must run as hard as possible at all times Runner doesn’t stop immediately after exchange of baton Closing Think of some personal examples of His works and mighty acts (1 minute) Praise His works & declare His mighty acts to the person next to you (30 seconds). Invite people where they are standing to pray out loud and praise His works & declare His mighty acts
