Comments on Procurement/Manufacturing
Detailed design done Q2/2019 Component qualification starts April19 g feeds into instrumentation procurement Working with Procurement to optimize process for TSS Use framework agreements for electrical Installation is part of the procurements – likely combined with TS electrical Manufacturing Off-the-shelf components Conservative manufacturing time in P6 g possible gain 4–5 months TSS delivery close to installation by definition Cables install date g immediately after delivery Cabinets g delivery + system test Instrument install tied to readiness of interfacing systems

Responsibility Target Installation Coordinator Responsible for
An IRR is conducted and passed before installation starts for a package Schedule and coordinate Installation packages within project Installation Packages follow rules and regulations, including heath and safety regulations Coordinate support needs for installation packages Resolve conflicts/prioritize between different installation packages within project Make sure there’s a sign-off for the installation package (before it’s regarded complete). Installation Package Leader (TSS) Responsible for The installation binder is ready for IRR Managing the actual installation on site for that package follow rules and regulations on site Health & Safety during installation (tbd)
13
TSS Installation Currently 12 months scheduled for installation, 5 months for testing Leaves a buffer for troubleshooting & addressing problems Installation/Testing Make full use of infrastructure project installation Connect installation tasks in P6 to readiness of D02 areas Full system test with cabinets prior to installation across site Installation resources Overall Electrical Operational Leader (EOL) for target station Installation coordinator for TSS
14
Conclusions We have a procurement plan, primarily via Framework Agreements We are working with Procurement to optimize the plan We have a plan for installation Connections exist internally in P6 with interfacing target systems Not yet connected to accelerator systems We are working with Tobias Lexholm (TD installation coordinator) to optimize the plan and fit within overall target station installation The final integrated system testing with TSS and target station systems will likely end up on the critical path
