What’s Happening in ELA...
This week in reading, our focus is test prep/strategies to help us with our ELA state test. In grammar, our skill for the week is dictionary skills. In writing, we will be working on test prep for the state writing test.
Test Dates:
Grammar Quiz: 4/18
Week 5/6 Vocabulary Quiz: 4/26
We have completed spelling for the year 
State Testing will begin on April 15th. C. Nichols’ homeroom will take the reading state test on 4/15. M. Grant’s homeroom will be tested 4/16. Students are required to pass this state test to be promoted to 4th grade.
Your child can also practice nightly on Classworks to get some extra practice in ELA and math. The link is They should know their login 

The vocabulary test is on 4/26. Make sure to study these words nightly.
