We use the expression “a Romans 14 issue” when we are in disagreement over something that is not consequential to our faith. What does this mean?

The third point would be the safest, as it would include the previous two
Consider a similar term in 1 Timothy 5:9 Do not let a widow under sixty years old be taken into the number, and not unless she has been the wife of one man, (although the word for “one” is different; in 1 Tim. 3 it could mean first, and 1 Tim. 5 it refers to the number one.

This seems to be a “cover all” for the deacon’s wife.

Considering qualifications: - All are virtues into which we aspire to grow - Deacons are not: - Elders in training - Servants of the elders - Called to serve without elders present

No statement as to the duties of a deacon - Necessary inference: 1) They are present only with elders 2) Their qualifications are very similar to elders 3) Conclusion: they assist elders in oversight
