Hour of Code Facts “Hour of code” campaign is during Computer Science Education Week (Dec , 2019) Started in 2013 this will be the third year of “Hour of Code” by Hadi Partovi – Founder of code.org The week of December 9th is Grace Hoppers birthday. 2013 Hour of Code was geared towards MS and HS students. Hour of Code has grown and has resources supporting all grade levels.

This is one of the main questions I get all the time, my answer is very similar.
Start with a icon based code, and if possible with a robot or something you can test the code in an engaging way like ozobots. Move to a language that does not have to have anything special like Javascript or Ruby Rails to test and implement
