CDO BRIEFING TO SAPR ROVING PATROL

ROVING PATROL NOTES Roving Patrol will be conducted Sunday - Thursday ( ). Friday, Saturday and Holidays are (2300 – 0500). Read through the NAVADMIN 181/13 and the NAVSTANORVANOTE 5354 (Roving Patrol Requirements). Vehicles that are to be used are located in front of building N-26 (#0890F and #4675D). Ensure to legibly fill out the vehicle log completely (Located within binder) to include the start and end odometer readings. Also, if you need to get gas, place the receipt in this binder (Front inside pocket).

ROVING PATROL NOTES CONT.
NOTE: These vehicles are used for DV’s. It’s imperative that both vehicles are kept clean during this watch and all trash removed daily. The green log books are used to assume the watch, log your departure and return from rounds, log any incidents in detail, and secure from the watch each night. (Minimum of two rounds will be conducted per watch). Within this binder there is a Sailor Contact Sheet that is required to be filled out nightly and finalized each Sunday prior to being relieved. This form is to collect the number of Sailor contacts this watch has made during specific hours. Data will be used to streamline this watch requirement.

Roving Patrols will make reports directly to NSN’s CDO/ACDO at the start and end of their watch shift (or immediately; if the incident warrants). NOTE: ALL FORMS ARE LOCATED IN SAPR ROVER PATROL BINDER LOCATED ON QUARTERDECK.

VEHICLE INSPECTION FORM
A complete vehicle inspection must be performed every day by the ROVING PATROLS prior to utilization of vehicles. This inspection will be logged on the MCBCL/S4/BMT/2 (7/11) and filed in their pass down log. Any damage or trashing of vehicle not noted prior to custody will be placed upon the Team/Unit.

VEHICLE ACCIDENT Any and all accidents must be reported to NSN CDO/ACDO ASAP! An SF 91 Form will be filled out in its entirely and submitted to NSN CDO/ACDO for filling with LS1 Fermangomez (BLDG N-26/Room 1100). LS1 Fermangomez is ADMIN’S vehicle custodian and coordinator.

SAILOR CONTACT SHEET This document is to track how many Sailor’s the ROVING PATROL comes into contact with during one hour increments. The top half is for days Sunday-Thursday between the hours of The Bottom half is for days Friday-Saturday and holidays between the hours of

It is broken down into 1 hour increments and has two stacked blocks. Top block is how many sailor’s contacted Bottom block is how many incident’s occurred (i.e. anything that emergency services to include security had to be called.) It is the same process for the bottom portion of sheet. Upon completion of watch each night, contact sheet must be filled out and left in log book for NSN CDO/ACDO to implement into CDO/ACDO brief to NSN Commanding Officer.

AREAS TO PATROL Each Team is assigned specific areas to patrol per instruction NAVSTANORVANOTE 5354 dated 30SEP13. When patrolling the barracks, each floor, common area, lobby, all stair cases, and parking lots must be patrolled. Any incidents should be reported to emergency services, then NSN CDO/ACDO promptly.
