زُيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ الشَّهَوَاتِ مِنَ النِّسَاء وَالْبَنِينَ وَالْقَنَاطِيرِ الْمُقَنطَرَةِ مِنَ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَالْخَيْلِ الْمُسَوَّمَةِ وَالأَنْعَامِ وَالْحَرْثِ ذَلِكَ مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَاللّهُ عِندَهُ حُسْنُ الْمَآبِ Beautified for mankind is love of the joys (that come) from women and offspring; and stored-up heaps of gold and silver, and horses branded (with their mark), and cattle and land. That is comfort of the life of the world. Allah! With Him is a more excellent abode. Divine Blessings - women - children - heaps of gold & silver (wealth) - horse of mark (means of communication) - cattle - tillage Used as a means of attaining self-development & nearness to God Surah Ali-Imran [3:14] PROPER USAGE Makes one thankful to God Utilized within the limits of shariah Makes one thankful to God

The Holy Prophet (saaw) said: One who wakes up with his whole attention directed towards the world … is cut off from God, and God shal make four qualities accompany him: RESULT Engulfed In Worldy Hopes Forgets God & hereafter Sells the hereafter for the world (QS 2:86) The vice of the love of the world Endless sorrow Emitting problems Never Ending occupation Never Relieved From needs A hope Which never achieved Cure/ treatment Meditate on the fact that good things in the world are transitory. What remains to man is: spiritual attainment, nearness to God, & efforts made in preparation for the hereafter. Meditate till cure
