6. In-class notebook ($1.00/ea)
Each student should purchase, either from the store or the teacher, a Composition Books that will be used for daily note- taking and quizzes. You will use this for test-prep on test days. I will explain this prior to our first exam.

7. Current Event Wiki and Journal Blog
You will be given a student blog site for your journal blogging for this class. Once I receive everybody’s address, this will be sent to you to set-up. Once you have your blog set, you will have access to the Current event Wiki as well. This will be explained in further detail later.

8. Mid-Term and Final Project
Mid-Term Project: Alcohol, Drugs, or Tobacco Use Informational Pamphlet Final Group Project: Presentation History, Awareness, or Prevention of Infectious Diseases or Lifestyle Diseases

9. Letter of Permission
A letter of permission will be sent home, along with the course syllabus for parents to sign. Topics requiring parental permission are: Sex Education Sexually Transmitted Diseases HIV/AIDS THIS MUST BE SIGNED AND RETURNED BY 3RD WEEK OF CLASS!!
