group leaders Mr Tomlinson, Mrs Alton, Mrs Gash, Mrs Wild and Ms Daykin and (Approx 9 pupils per group) 1 coach (double decker) Meeting points - staff on duty at all times. Accommodation: pupils will know where group leader room is located.

1 coach Parking – please do not park on the bus bay so that coach has room to turn in to board children.

5 DAY 1 – Thursday 4th July Depart St Benedict
[Comfort Break en route to Dover] Depart: Eurotunnel Arrive Calais. Visit to La Coupole Afternoon: Visit to traditional French bakery for tour and demonstration – Boulangerie d’Ecoueuilles Drive to: Artes Centre L'Escale Evening meal at hotel

8 Day 2 – Friday 5th July Breakfast at hostel
Brief stop to see the market at Gravelines Visit to l’escargotiere du Choquel (snail farm) Drive to Boulogne Packed lunch provided by group leader Visit to Nausicaa Evening – Shopping centre Cité Europe pupils will have 10 Euros (given by group leader) to buy evening meal and time to explore shops and practice their French. Return to accommodation

9 Day 3 – Saturday 6th July Breakfast at hostel
Pack belongings and board bus Visit to Parc Bagatelle Packed lunch provided by group leader Leave Parc Bagatelle and head to Calais. Return via Ferry

10 Return to school at 11.00 pm Saturday 6th July

11 Mobile phones ROAMING CHARGES
These and all other belongings are their own responsibility throughout the visit (and not the school/staff). Charger – 2-pin plug Mobile ‘phones on the school trip – the rules Pupils must store mobile number for group leader in ‘phone to use in emergencies. Provide group leader with phone number so that child can be contacted in an emergency. Phones must be switched to silent in the bus and during visits (as directed by staff). When listening to music, use headphones. All the usual school rules apply. ROAMING CHARGES

A rucksack for the daytime A water proof coat or jacket Sun lotion – we will be outdoors for many of the day visits so sun lotion is essential. Hat or cap Jeans/trousers/tracksuit or jogging bottoms/shorts T-shirts Socks and underwear Trainers and comfortable shoes Adapter for European plugs (2-pronged)

Personal medication, if required (such as tablets, inhalers, etc. – you will be asked to give these to your child’s group leader on the morning of departure). Travel sickness pills for your child if they are prone to any travel sickness. At least two towels – one hand towel and one bath towel Toiletries Laundry bag (or a simple plastic bag) Reading material A pen A packed lunch for the first day of the visit – we will have an evening meal on arrival at the accommodation in Calais.

15 Other information Please ensure luggage has a name tag on.
Money between £20-30 and the same in € Medicines in a bag, clearly labelled and given to staff on departure day. Enough food/drink/money for breakfast and lunch on the 1st day Comfort break on the way to Folkestone but can be expensive. Let us know if you don’t want your child in the photos - media permission.
