2. Task 2 status following November meeting
Task 2 has given input to Channel ad hoc on all its study areas
On Channel time variation mechanisms and speed of variation
Fibre patchcord before main fibre link is main source of time variation
Fibre vibration and quasi static IPR experiments, plus referencing GR-63-CORE has shown time variation to be characteristically slow, 10Hz or less.
Polarization effect bounded and included in measurements above
Dynamic test removed from draft based on slow channel dynamics

Temperature effects are an insignificant cause of channel dynamics
