Opinion of the ESSC (19 November 2015)
General support by ESSC Much progress registered from MSs' perspective. Some issues successfully dealt with for a majority of countries, like the overall objective of increased timeliness, in particular for SILC, the regionalisation of the SILC and LFS data, and precision requirements Main remaining concern from some countries on the principle of the use of delegated acts, the inclusion of the time use and consumption domains, the extension of the SILC longitudinal component to 6 years Adoption planned in the second quarter of 2016

Issues with no LAMAS unanimous agreement after ESSC
Precision requirements at regional level for FR and UK MUR: deadline for transmission (FR); estimation of last week of the month when it spills over the following month(ES) Inclusion of SPH/GALI variables (DE, EE) Use of input harmonisation (DK, IE, FI, SE) → Further discussion in Council → DSS Discussion in 2016 on derogations
