5. KUSH CONQUERED EGYPT After fall of New Kingdom, Egypt not stable 700 B.C.E. Kush invaded Egypt King Piye declared himself pharaoh of both lands. (known as uniter of two lands) He did not tear down Egyptian culture, but rather revived Egypts past glory. Egypt paid tribute to Kush Piye made kingdom capital Meroe.

6. KUSH RULED 100 YEARS Until the Assyrians (remember them?) use their iron weapons and drove Kush out of Egypt. 671 B.C.E. The last of Kushite pharaohs left Egypt by mid 650s B.C.E.
